Israeli Future Leaders Visit
From August 6-12, the Jewish
Federation of Cleveland hosted 22 Atidim
Cadets
for the Public Sector and two staff members to help them learn more
about how businesses, nonprofits and governments work separately and together
for economic development, and how this knowledge can be applied in
A few of the highlights included:

Meeting with Tom Adler,
Chairman of

Spending an afternoon and
evening with Ari Maron of MRN Limited touring downtown
·
Listening to a panel
discussion on health care with organizations such as MedWorks, the Free Clinic,
Cleveland Clinic's Wellness Institute and Metro Health.
·
Visiting the Global
·
Learning about vision in
economic development from Jill Snyder, director of MOCA and Mary Ann Stropkay of
the Evergreen Development Fund.
·
Hearing about the needs of
the region at a suburban mayors' panel that also included YLD National Board
Member Carin Rockind, who is Vice President of Marketing for Team NEO.
A thread throughout the
mission was the strong involvement of the work group chaired by Rebecca
Bar-Shain and Amy Budish and included several new young leaders including Max
Blachman from Senator Sherrod Brown's office, Daniel Fellenbaum formerly of
Congresswoman Marcia Fudge's office, Rani Gilady and Noam Schafer.
